Probably designed by Antonio da Sangallo in the 16th century and commissioned by the Cybo family, Silvani-Loreni palace was originally the government seat of the Duchy of Ferentillo.
The building looks over Garibaldi Square and is laid out on three levels with a large botanic garden at the rear created by the Master Silvano Silvani. The large reception room has a coffered ceiling and a precious 16th century pictorial cycle, with the noble coat of arms of the various houses that governed over the region. In this reception room there is also an ancient weapons collection of enormous value including original pieces from the Roman age.
From the 18th century the building passed onto the Silvani-Loreni family who still own it today.
